Now I have seven lighted ports conveniently located right on my desktop. I've had the unit for a few months now. Before I bought this I was struggling with extension cables and trying to plug devices into USB ports of my computer which sits below a desk in a dimly lit room. So far I haven't had to use the supplied DC wall wart power supply. It simply works great.
Wow. This is a great product. Worked perfectly for every USB device that I plugged in.
I use 2 of these units on Intel Macs. One is a Mac Pro and the other a new IMac and have no issues with it. I would not expect it to drive 2 USB drives at the same time because of throughput, but for expected use it works great. I have also used it with a G5 with no problems.For those having USB problems, I believe the problem is elsewhere, try reinstalling your OS.
This is a great product. Very easy to install and absolutely no problems after the 5 minutes set-up. Works great.
I bought this because I use plenty of USB devices and my computer only had 4 ports. I find that whatever I plug into it, run very slow and its best not to run two items simultaniously. I would not do this again.
